The Stance at Performance Space’s Liveworks Festival in Sydney was presented as a five hour durational performance in amongst the Eveleigh Markets farmers markets on a Saturday morning.
For the three evenings leading up to the full performance we also conducted one hour experimental performance installations inside the Carriageworks Foyer. These installations gave us a unique opportunity to further experiment with and extend upon some of durational elements of the The Stance. I was interested to explore how a particular action or image changes over time and what is revealed in both the fatigue and persistence of the performer.
